    ALCOGUARD 5800 is an associative acrylic rheology modifierdesigned to function in dispersions or detergents with high levels ofsurfactants or electrolytes that adversely affect other thickeners. Whenneutralized to a pH above 7.0, ALCOGUARD 5800 exhibits highlyefficient thickening and stabilization performance in a variety ofaqueous systems. In some detergents the thickening effect may beachieved at pH significantly below 7 with the proper formulationtechnique. Incorporate ALCOGUARD 5800 with mixing as last ingredient prior toneutralization. Thickener may be diluted with water to facilitateincorporation in highly viscous formulations. Thickening occurs whenthe pH of the formulation is raised above a pH of 7.0. Rheology modifier for surfactant systems.

Alcoguard 5800 is a hydrophobically modified akali swellable emulsion. Alcoguard 5800 improves flow and rheology of formulated coatings, is easy to handle and supplied as a low viscosity emulsion. It shows synergistic thickening with anionic and nonionic surfactants. Thickens formulations above pH 7. Recommended use levels of 0.2-1.0%.
