Nouryon is launching a new solution for the building and construction market that boosts the effectiveness of energy-saving “cool roof” coatings by improving their ability to reflect light and enhancing their self-cleaning properties.

A new online tool which can track the use of bio-based raw materials in products has been launched as a pilot by project partners AkzoNobel, Advanced Biochemical (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (ABT) and EY. It will be the first tool ever to use e-certification to track bio-based content along the value chain.

Amsterdam, January 17, 2017 – AkzoNobel is leading a consortium of companies, including DSM, Google and Philips, in signing a multi-year contract for the purchase of wind power from Bouwdokken Wind Park.

AkzoNobel is launching Imagine Chemistry, an exciting opportunity to partner with start-up firms, students, research groups and career scientists from across the world to jointly exploit the knowledge of chemistry and solve several real-life chemistry-related challenges.

Nouryon (formerly AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals) has named an additional finalist, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, for its 2019 Imagine Chemistry collaborative innovation challenge, bringing the total number to 14.

Nouryon today announced an exclusive agreement with Brenntag Specialties to serve as the sole distributor of Nouryon’s patented LumaTreat® tagged polymers in the US and Canada. The agreement encompasses a wide portfolio of Nouryon’s specialty polymers and provides water treatment professionals greater access to critical ingredients for industrial and commercial cooling and heating systems.

In 2017 Ben Dolman, a PhD student at The University of Manchester, was named a finalist in Nouryon’s Imagine Chemistry collaborative innovation program for his novel process that uses gravity to separate biochemicals.
