Nouryon, a global specialty chemicals leader, announces the completion of its latest production facility to meet increasing global demand for innovative and sustainable chelates for the rapidly growing consumer cleaning industry. The start-up of the new site in Herkenbosch, Netherlands is expected in the second quarter of 2022.

Introducing LumaTreat™, a global patent-pending smart-tagged polymer line of products that is revolutionary in the water management industry. LumaTreat products are fluorescent monomers that attach on a deposit control agent. The combination of the fluorescent monomer and deposit control polymer provide a Smart Tag that accurately measures the ‘free’ or unused polymer in the water treatment system.

We have signed an agreement with Renewcell to provide specialty chemicals and engineering solutions for its new textile recycling plant in Sundsvall, Sweden. The facility will recycle textile waste, including items such as worn-out jeans and production scraps, to manufacture 60,000 metric tons of Circulose® dissolving pulp per year.

Nouryon, a global specialty chemicals leader, announced plans to expand production capacity at its Levasil® colloidal silica manufacturing facility in Green Bay, Wisconsin, U.S., to meet increasing demand from the Construction and Packaging end-markets. Construction of the facility expansion in Green Bay, Wisconsin is planned to be finalized in the second half of 2022.

Nouryon is continuing its growth acceleration plans with an agreement to acquire the carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) business of J.M. Huber Corporation. The transaction will significantly broaden Nouryon’s portfolio of products in CMC, a sustainable, bio-based water-soluble polymer used as a thickener, binder, stabilizer and film former.

Nouryon has introduced a new Levasil® colloidal silica product line dedicated to the electronics industry.
