Working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, such as customers, partner companies, universities, and startups helps us become more sustainable, more innovative, and deliver more value to our customers.
- We have formed partnerships with several startups and other companies to pursue innovative bio-based chemicals, including Photanol for chemicals from photosynthesis; Itaconix for bio-based polymers; Royal Cosun for chemicals from sugar; and Avantium for chemicals from wood.
- We have formed a partnership with New York-based American Corporate Partners (ACP) to provide mentorships that assist veterans transitioning from active military duty to civilian careers.

Since the start of 2017, we have announced numerous investments or plant startups that support the growth of our customers.
Recent investments or plant startups
Examples includes the expansion and upgrade of a surface chemistry plant in Sweden, acquisition of a leading Chinese metal alkyls producer, and increased production capacity for organic peroxides, expandable microspheres and colloidal silica.
